Telling a story with Twitter: a real world, nonfiction case

Twitter’s storytelling uses have been developing rapidly. Case in point, the narratives around the American strike on Osama bin Laden.

Here’s one, a series of updates from a nearby eyewitness.  The story unfolds accidentally, linearly, in cascades of awareness:

Here is a more detailed account, knitting together several Twitter streams.  Once again a story unfolds in microbursts, with understanding developing as information filters in and is echoed.

It’s worth remembering that non all stories are fiction.
